Motown Mondays at Brooklyn Music School
From Marvin Gaye to Stevie Wonder to The Temptations, Martha and the Vandellas (to name only a few), the Motown labels have been a starting ground for many prolific artists of our times. This new adult program will involve learning and performing a full set of songs from Motown, and a study of the process used to produce the hits we all know so well.
The first lesson of Motown Mondays begins on September 24th and will be FREE for the first class.
Come along, see if you're interested and sign up at the end if you think it’s for you.
The numbers are limited so you must register in advance to attend the class. Just call or email the office to confirm your attendance and let them know your instrument.
Please state your experience of playing no matter how minimal, this class can be a good fit as it's all about the parts working together from simple single note lines to the original transcriptions. The development will happen as the weeks progress.
The first 2 songs in review are Reach out - The Four Tops and I heard it Through the Grapevine - Marvin Gaye.
If you would like sheet music in advance or have any queries regarding the class please email firstname.lastname@example.org. There will be advisory notes attached to any sheet music requested based on your experience.
We look forward to seeing you there to celebrate the magic of the Motown sound.
